Listen to the sound
Tap the pipe gently with a small hammer or other hard object. The sound of a good quality PVC fiber pipe is relatively crisp. This shows that the internal structure of the pipe is tight and the texture is uniform. And there are no obvious cracks, bubbles or other defects. If the sound is muffled and hoarse, there may be problems inside the pipe. Such as impurities, cavities or partial damage inside.
Smell
High-quality PVC fiber hoses have less odor under normal circumstances. If the pipe has a pungent and unpleasant odor, it may be that inferior raw materials or additives were used in the production process. These substances may cause harm to human health and the environment. It also means that the quality of the pipe may be unqualified. Especially when the new hose is just unpacked, if the odor is very strong and lasting, be alert to its quality problems.
Check electrical performance
For some PVC fiber pipes used for special purposes such as electrical insulation, electrical performance is an important quality indicator. Professional electrical testing equipment, such as insulation resistance testers, can be used to measure the insulation resistance of the pipe. Qualified pipes should have a high insulation resistance value, which can effectively prevent safety accidents such as leakage. If the insulation resistance value is too low, it means that the insulation performance of the pipe is poor and there are quality problems.
