Appearance inspection
Color and gloss
High-quality PVC fiber tubes have uniform color, usually white or gray. The color is natural and has a certain gloss. If the color is too dark or too light, there is a significant color difference, the color is dull or too bright and unnatural, the quality may be poor.
Surface flatness
The surface of a qualified pipe should be smooth and flat, without bubbles, pits, obvious scratches and depressions. If there are many bubbles on the surface, it means that there may be problems in the production process. This will affect the strength and sealing of the fibre hose.
Tube mouth regularity
The pipe mouth of the pipe should be cut neatly, without burrs or flash, and the port should be perpendicular to the axis of the pipe. Irregular pipe mouths will make installation difficult. It may also cause loose connections.
Dimension measurement
Pipe diameter
Use a caliper or other measuring tool to measure the outer diameter and inner diameter of the pipe. The size should meet the requirements of relevant standards and product specifications. Generally, a certain tolerance range is allowed, but the deviation cannot be too large, otherwise it will affect the coordination and performance of the pipe fittings.
Wall thickness
Wall thickness uniformity is very important. Use a caliper to measure the wall thickness at different parts of the pipe. The difference in wall thickness at each point should be within the allowable range. Too thin wall thickness may lead to insufficient strength of the pipe. Too thick wall thickness may increase cost and affect flexibility.
